Renewing my passort?

As I wait for another interview date, I now find out that I need to renew my passport. In the package that I received from the NVC, regarding the interview information, it states in there, that your current passport, must be valid for at least six months, once moving to the US. Mine epxires in March/2008.

My question: Do I renew it in my married name, or do I keep the same as the one I have now, which is my maiden name? My file in Montreal, has a photocopy of my current passort, in my maiden name. I don't want to mess anything up, by renewing it in my married name (which is my legal name now).... UGH!!!!!

i would renew it in your married name.... saves you the trouble of having to do it later...

i changed my name shortly before the interview and I emailed Montreal to ask what I should do and they said to just tell them at the interview and bring proof of why I changed my name... ie the marriage certificate... I mentioned the name change at at the embassy when I was handing over my papers.... and the visa was printed out in my married name...

if you are not sure I would email the embassy and find out what they say...

Surprisingly enough, I emailed Montreal about an hour ago, and I have a reply already. They said to change it to my married name!! Thanks
