If you are to stay in a relationship, which option will you consider or the greatest factor in making the right decision for the whole family?

As for me, I will sacrifice my own happiness for my children's sake. Therefore, I chose: GREAT PARENT. I will rather stay with a person who is a great parent to my kids, rather than being a great spouse.

I think, if you have kids, then it is impossible to be a good spouse without being a good parent. They go hand in hand. But you could be a good parent, while still being a lousy spouse.

So then I guess I would say good spouse.

Great Spouse. Happy marriages lead to happy kids. Although I am also choosing great spouse cuz we dont want rug rats. :D

Great cheese comes from happy cows. Happy cows come from California.

Don't care much for kids, hence voting The Famous GrouseGreat Spouse.

I have to go with Great Spouse. I do not have kids and never will at my age, Bless God.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

I agree.

My ex was a good dad but lousy at being a husband.

Great spouse, 100%, no doubt. When the husband and wife are happy the children will follow suit. Solid foundations secure strong walls. It does not necessarily work the other way around. Plus, the children eventually grow up, move out, and start their own relationships. Your spouse should not!

I can't pick one, it has to be the combo for me. I want my husband to be a good dad, and want him to be a good husband.

part of the reason I picked my hubby was because I knew he would be a good parent and he just happens to be a good spouse too...

not sure if that answers the question or not...

Absolute 100% great spouse. Your Marriage is the corner stone and foundation of your family it all translates into happy kids. Good parenting comes when both you and your spouse are on the same page about how the kids should be raised mixing a little old school, and flexible enough to allow some new school approaches in also. Nothing should come between you and your spouse including your kids.

a lot of people devote their lives to their kids and do everything for them but totally neglect their spouse... then by the time the kids are all out of the house they look at each other and have no idea who that other person is...

My parents try and have a date night a couple of nights a month...

Well stated. I do agree!

A great spouse for me this time around. My last spouse was awful and an awful parent, which has created a lot of problems for my children. The odds of a good spouse being a good parent as well are pretty good, IMO
