I totally agree with the fact that USCIS was crushed with last minute packets before the fee increase deadline. It seems to me that the people that filed in May are getting held up for the last minute filers in June and July. When I first filed, the USCIS website said approx. 90 days for NOA2, 30 days later, the time changed to 110 days, now it says 6 months. Why would an K-1 visa packet already filed with a NOA-1 issued be held up by new packets being filed after my K-1 was filed? Aren't they looked at in the order they were received? It seems to me the system is backwards.

Not crying about my situation, but I have seen many VJ'ers with similar timelines as mine that already have NOA-2 and interview dates. I even saw someone who filed K-1 at the same time as me and already finished the interview and have their visa. The USCIS needs a big overhaul and someone needs to get the daily operations in order. The whole idea of not knowing the status of your paperwork is a pain. Can't rely on the USCIS website, calling the USCIS is a joke, and noone here can look into the future! If I wasn't so in love with my Fiance, I would give up on the whole process!

I'm with you Bundy!! Having your heart set to be with your SO within a certain time frame and then having that dream delayed is devastating to the soul.
