I have never found any reference on the Manila website that the beneficiary was required to bring the CENOMAR to the interview with them but have seen many posts now saying it was required.

For those of you who have received the packet from the enbassy, are you receiving instructions in the packet to bring the CENOMAR? I am wondering if everyone receives that instruction or is the embassy making a determination based on other data for individual beneficiaries whether they need to acquire the CENOMAR.

I have been guilty of posting that the embassy would request the CENOMAR on their own if they deemed it necessary so want to make sure I don't make that mistake in the future.

Any input is appreciated.

Thanks

Great, that is what I was looking for, thanks  It's kind of weird because when we went through Manila they refused to accept the CENOMAR because the document can be fraudulent. There are some real artists in the RP :P

CENOMAR definately required in never married even if you did receive a request in your packet 4 better to be safe than sorry get one anyways.
CENOMAR has also been checked in AR for married peeps. Called a CEMAR.

As Jasman said USEM normally does their own CENOMAR and CEMAR investigations do to people doing fake ones that didn't get an annulment!

Doesn't hurt for all types of visas to apply for them as if married they show records of past marriages.

Ours showed our marriage and my wifes [widow] first marriage naman.

You will find a piece of paper stapled to the instruction sheet that says CENOMAR is an additional requirement to bring for the interview.

This is a good thing. Before, if they felt there was a need to verify no marriage, they would put you on hold while they ordered the document so you would end up walking the floor for a couple of weeks.

Hint!

You can apply for CENOMAR on the telephone and pay at the bank.

Just be SURE you give the correct spelling and information tho.

They will deliver to your house or where ever you want it delivered.

Sure beats standing in line!

The CENOMAR was listed as a requirement on the previous version of the Packet 4. However, on the current version of Packet 4, the CENOMAR has been removed as a requirement for the visa interview.

I guess the only explanation for the small piece of paper within Packet 4 stating that all applicants that are not married should have a CENOMAR is because someone inadvertently removed the line stating that the CENOMAR is a requirement in the latest update of the Packet 4. Other than that, it does not make any sense to me either. Even though the USE does not always ask for the CENOMAR, obtain a copy anyway just to be prepared for the worse.

Cheers!!!

Unless you have something to hide. Just get CENOMAR. Doesn't cost much and as easy to get.

More ammo [bullets] the better!

You can use it instead of a tabo when you get to the US if they don't ask for it!
