Just renewed my expired NBI clearance last monday. Twas the 3rd time I renewed my NBI clearance but this time I am hit. It means there's somebody who's name is same with me. They said I have to go back after 15 days as they will still verify it in manila. But when I called NBI today they said it will be updated 30th of this month. Is this normal? I have friends who got hit but they were able to have their clearance 15 days after. That's why it worries me.

No need to worry. Your being "hit" is just because you have the same name with someone or there are other people having the same name as yours in their system who either has a criminal record, pending court case, warrant of arrest, etc. They just need additional time to make sure that you are not that same person in their system. Usually it takes 15 days but it can last up to thirty (30) days.

Hi Velmark! There's no need for you to worry, just wait and it will be fine. I just renewed my clearance last friday and I don't plan to get it anytime soon coz my name is always HIT. The last time it took 2 weeks but who knows! I'll probably try to get it after a few weeks. Don't worry my friend!

where Did u renew your expired NBI? at their main office?!You can renew your NBI at their NBI KIOSK

I renewed mine last month in Gotesco Grand Central Mall in Caloocan it was very fast , it took less than 10 minutes and i got my new and updated NBI.

Hi BrianElla! I renewed my NBI clearance just here in our city. We have NBI regional office here. I'm happy for you, you already have your clearance. Wish I could have mine this 30th as what the NBI told me.

you can have the clearance asap as long as your not HIT!.

anyway velmark, if you know someone inside the NBI regional office in your province. you can try ask help from him/her.

Skyblue, me too had questioned why I got hit when it's already my 3rd time renewing my NBI clearance. When with my first two I just got my clearance that same day I renewed it. I'm praying you could have your clearance before your interview Skyblue. Good luck on that day!

before when you renewed yuor NBI, maybe the names thats the same with you doesnt have any record yet then maybe last few weeks or month they did something wrong that had record/s on their name thats why you guys got hit. the same thing happened to me. never got hit before but when i got my NBI clearance renewed last month i got hit too thats why i called my friend and he helped me (just to speed things up). but still have to wait for 2-3 days.
