Happy Friday to all! What a way to start off a Friday, I was getting close to work and noticed my office building was blocked off with police cars and fire trucks, apparently, there was a fire across the street. I couldnt even get into the parking lot this morning but I'm here now.

05/03/2007 interview -> AP -> hell -> AP -> 9 months of AP Hell - 2 home visits :(

01/26/2008 visa in hand with a typo :(

02/03/2008 2 weeks more of waiting.... Visa in hand...... :)

Edited to add - those of u who deal w/the crazy connections in Egypt, how about this week?! Anyone share in my frustrations....with a few phone calls consisting of what did you say? huh?! what?! and minimal internet connections...here's to a better week...hahhaha

OH MY GOD, yes. When I found out Ramy's interview date I was flipping out all day because I couldn't get through--when I did it was during a 10 minute break at work. That's the last time I talked to him and it was two days ago.

Connections for the past month or so have been terrible...I swear next Wednesday morning I'll pull all my hair out if we can't get through!

Hope you get your NOA2 soooooooooooon!

My car reached 100,000 miles today on my drive to work. lol

My connection hasn't been too bad. Maybe one or two calls that couldn't get through, BUT last night on yahoo it sounded like he was underwater!!!

:lol: That's so true, but in my case he sounded like tweety bird! He kept asking why are you laughing? And i told him you sould like a cartoon :lol: !

HI everyone....

I hope that everyone is having a great Friday morning - it has been a long week and I am thankful that it is Friday - I plan to relax this weekend, however I have a lot of cleaning and laundry to get caught up with...

Hoping for some more good news for everyone today and into next week - - I wouldnt mind my next post to be NOA2 received..hahaaa..

Thank goodness it's Friday!! Yippee!!

Melinda: I wonder if the connection is dependent upon what city in Egypt the SO lives? I have seen many posts about the problem with getting a call through. I haven't really had much trouble at all when I call my SO. We talk about 6 or 7 times a day...He calls me and I call him....and we always get through...hmmm...I have only used two different phone cards since March...mobilecaller.com and ppdoutlet.com/prepaid....and both of them have worked great. As far as the internet connection, my SO's uncle has an internet cafe and there haven't been many problems with that either...and if there are problems with the DSL, they always fix it within a few hours (not days)...I'm glad we haven't had this problem yet (crossing fingers and knocking on wood...lol)...sorry to hear about the connection problems...I know it can be extremely frustrating especially when you have some important news to relay.

Haven't heard from him in 3 days and he's in Cairo. Got an email today though saying his system crashed.

He knows how this affect me. Whatever... I can't care about the things I can't control.

TGIF! Even though I've only had a three day work week, I'm ready for the weekend!

Wadi's going on his second annual fishing trip with my Dad and his friends. He's excited - I guess they're gonna be fishing for shark. :blink:

It will give me some good quiet time at home to study. We'll see if I take advantage of it. :whistle:

Friday...I would say TGIF but I still have to work tomorrow so for me it is TGIAS (Thank God It's Almost Saturday). Problems selling my house. The ppl backed out so now we're back at square 1. Then found out that the payment on that house was supposed to have gotten there on the 30th of August but they can't seem to find it.....:help:

ugh. my ex's wife just came to get the kids for the weekend and my youngest was crying because she doesn't want to go with them. :( She's never done this in 9 years. :( :( I think it's because she made a new little friend at school and she wanted to play with her all weekend.

Now I'm so sad. :cry::cry::cry:

I know how you feel. My ex lives closer to my boys' school so therefore lives closer to the friends. There have been a few occasions where I've let the kids stay with their dad on my "days" so they could play with their neighborhood friends. At first it hurt my feelings but I'm over it. I'd rather have happy kids not with me than unhappy kids with me.

I'm here...still eating soup....lost 10 lbs....I hate soup :crying:

How long have you been a soup-eater? You only eating soup?

Ammar just got promoted and a raise today, so it's exciting!

almost 2 weeks now but I eat other stuff too. I'm just sick of the soup. Its beginning to have gaglike qualities. :lol:

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.
