I think the average is about 6 months or so.

Others will correct me if I'm wrong.

My wife (then fiance) was in AR with NVC for 30 days. She is also from the Philippines. However, I must say that it can vary from person to person. When we were going through it, I saw some more and some less time. Good Luck!

AR can vary considerably. Are they doing your background check?

It looked like my case stayed at NVC only for 3 days after it was approved but when it arrived in Manila US Embassy it took 3 months for them to schedule me an interview appointment.

I can tell you that our case sat at NVC for 6 weeks in AR. They give no details of course when you call to inquire. I wrote letters to some politicians but they forwarded them to the Department of State. The Department of State sent me a letter apologizing for my dissatisfaction with their service. It didn't do any good writing about it.

I can't say for sure but I think there is some duplication of process concerning records checking between USCIS and NVC. Typically different departments of the US Government don't trust each others work. It's too bad because it adds time to the process which is time you and you're SO will never get back.

Eventually it'll get done though.

Administrative Review is such a bunch of BS. We have been waiting for an Immigrant visa for our daughter for 5 months now in AR. Our petition was approved in the US, and they did take her passport. What's up with this AR? It must mean..."Hey we have a backlog because we don't do our job very well, and take too many breaks." Contacting our US Senator was the only way we even found out we were IN AR. How lame is that? The US Embassy/Manila treats US Citizens like #######, in my opinion.
