Stay in Canada for another year after receiving K3?

I'm about to accompany my wife to Montreal for her K3 interview in a month. I'm an American citizen and she is a Canadian citizen. My question is, can she stay in Canada for more than 6 months (I read on this forum as max time to enter US) before entering US with the K3? I understand K3 is good for 2 years. Please advise.

K3 is a multiple entry visa good for two years. She can wait as long as a day less than two years to enter the US. She'll then have two years from entry to adjust status. Once she has entered, she can leave and re-enter as often as she pleases during the next two years. Sometime during that time, she should complete the adjustment of status and get her green card.
