So, after we get married I will adjust status and get a EAD work permit to find a job closer to him. Does it mean that I have to find the job before the interview? Because I am guessing at the interview it is mandatory that the spouses live together?

Well I will hope by then that I find a job there but in case it happens late is establishing common domicile sufficient at the interview?

What is required is that you share a domicile. If your work requires you to keep an additional domicile for the time being, I don't see why that's a problem. Many couples have two domiciles. Why not make both residences mutual? After marriage, put each other on the other's lease and utility bills. Working in different cities doesn't mean your relationship isn't bona fide but it does complicate proving it.

It's not like you're marrying for an immigration benefit. You have an H1B visa. It's not like you're about to be deported. You just need to adjust status or get EAD before changing jobs.
