Our AOS, EAD & AP list of documents and forms required

I've been reading the instructions on the USCIS website about which documents are required for each form we have to send off for AOS, EAD and AP for the K1 visa. I'm wondering if someone could double check my list to ensure that I have got things straight here!

-Cover letter to explain our intent to adjust our status and explain contents of package

I-485 (AOS)

1 x Cheque for $325 filing fee payable to "Department of Homeland Security"

1 x Cheque for $70 Biometrics fee payable to "Department of Homeland Security"

- Birth certificate

- Passport information page

- Visa in passport

- 2 x US Passport photo's to correct size, alien number written on the back in pencil

- I-693 (vaccination supplement)

- I-94 front and back copies

- NOA 2 from K1 Visa

- Marriage certificate

Plus

- G325A Form completed

- I-864 Form completed (no co-sponser required in our case)

- 3 Years of tax returns (2002, 2003, 2004)

- Letter from employer

- Copy of 2005 tax returns ( do I need this?)

I-765

1 x Cheque for $180 filing fee payable to "Department of Homeland Security"

- I-94 front and back copies

- 2 x US Passport photo's to correct size alien number written on the back in pencil

I-131

1 x Cheque for $180 filing fee payable to "Department of Homeland Security"

- Passport information page

- Visa in passport

- I-94 front and back copies

- NOA 2 from K1 Visa

We will be filing all documents at the same time so I believe they will all be posted to:

I'm wondering how you arranged your package? I'm not ####### about these sorts of things, just as long as it's neat and easy for the person looking at our file!

I also noticed that you can e-file for EAD (I-765) is it worth it? Has anyone tried this? I was unsure if its available for K1-Visa holders.

We got an RFE for the I-864, and I *think* it was for a 2005 tax return, so I'd go ahead and send that and avoid the risk.

Also, someone should confirm, but I think you also need to send a copy of your passport with the I-864 to prove that you are a USC.

My husband (USC) did not have a passport but we did include a copy of his birth certificate....

Looks like you are all set to file....

You should include your 2005 tax return and take out the 2002 and don't forget to include W-2's as well if you have them

EAD is available for K-1 Visa holders and if planning to work you require one

The I-131 you also require passport pics, don't forget those

Also I included our marriage license with the I-765 and I-131 just to show that we were married and the name difference. Not a requirement, just a suggestion

The way I put out package together was 3 separate packages for the I-485, I-765 and I-131 using acco fasteners at the top with a cover sheet for each package stating what is included in each package with the check and pics at the top of each package. Then I had a main cover letter stating what was in this main package all clipped together with a binder clip.

I'll ditch 2002's tax and put a copy of Matt's 2005 forms in with the package! Thanks for that!

We are almost ready to file, just waiting on Matt's tax returns to come back and the vaccination supplement, then we are off!!! I just want everything to be ready so I can get it in the mail ASAP!

No, I think it went up again.. of course...

And I didn't send my husband (USC)'s passport or birth certificate in with my package.. I'm pretty sure its not required for the affadavit of support...

Just checked USCIS and its $170 USCIS I-131 Link I must have read it wrong. Thanks a lot for spotting that!!!
