Hello K1 Filers and Beneficiaries! I had my interview just yesterday and it actually feels I had it last week maybe because of all the anxiety/worries that despite everything there's still that unwanted possibility. It seemed like an unending preparation and for hundred times (ok maybe a little exaggerated) have ensured completeness of all the requirements, me and my fiance ( I am the fiancee ).

Anyways, I've seen a lot of postitive news of 'WE ARE APPROVED, SHE/HE PASSED INTERVIEW' in VJ and also negative announcements of 'WE'RE DENIED, FIANCE WAS REJECTED'. I also had to call my fiance over the phone right away after my interview that I got approved with my visa and will receive it soon in the mail.

I am just wondering what do the COs exactly say when an applicant is approved to receive or not approved/rejected to receive a visa. The consul told me 'You're all set. Just wait outside for your number to be called (by Releasing).' Do COs really say YOU ARE APPROVED or YOU ARE DENIED/REJECTED at the Interview? After an afternoon of excitement, I read the piece of paper which was given at the final stage of the process before paying the courier (Delbros in USEM) and suddenly started worrying. There is a Reminder stated there like this:

Reminder: NO Embassy representative is authorized to tell applicants or petitioners that a visa has been approved until a consular officer authorizes printing of visa. We are unable to predict when an applicant would qualify for visa issuance....

When do you really say APPROVED and NOT (yet) APPROVED?

Thanks

Some/Most CO willl not say if you're approved or not but You can ask the CO after your interview. After my interview with the CO and he was smiling and said: "well, looks like everything is in order..." so I asked him if I'm approved and he said with a smile: "YES". One more way to tell if you're approved is if they asked you to pay DELBROS for the visa delivery-> that means you're approved but will just have to wait for your visa to be delivered (may take time though for those who will be subjected for more background/NSO checks).

You can't tell for sure if you are approved or not at USEM. Sad but many peeps have been told they are approved but find out later they are on AR.

As long as you paid Delbros you haven't been outright denied. They also normally give your passport back if denied.

You should get a text from Delbos soon if you are approved.

Not much you can do but wait.

At least you didn't get the letter saying something like. "Wait until you hear from us" so you are looking good!

Well, if you paid for the courier and they kept your passport it means you're approved! Otherwise the CO would've gave you a paper, different color than the one you had saying that you were not legible to get the visa for one of those reasons...If I'm wrong, someone please correct me! :)

Anyways, CONGRATULATIONSSSSSS!!!!!!

Your time to start a new life had just arrived!!!!!!
