Should I file AP?

Hi there,

I am mid-process. have recently received my EAD and hope to get my GC interview notice soon. However, I realize that I should have applied for AP back in June. My question is: Should I apply for AP now? And another question: If I get a conditional stamp on my passport, will I then be able to travel? Not sure if it is worth it at this point if it is.

Probably not. If you filed in June (same time as me) you should get your interview notice soon hopefully. Yes your conditional stamp would allow you to travel. Also if you did apply for AP now, you are probably looking at late December to actually receive it. It took me 2.5 months to get it, but because of the back log of everything, it's probably a bit longer now. Unless you are in dire straights to go home, I'd say save yourself some cash.

Is there an urgent need to travel outside the U.S.? If not don't waste the money. Good luck with your AOS
