Well my husband and I went to the interview today and they were running about 10-15 minutes behind time. They made an announcement that there were new consulars and old ones and to be patient. We had a nice officer, asked very few questions as he went through the file. He asked my husband his dob, where he was born, how he met me. Then he asked me when i got married and the date and where. He asked for my husbands birth certificate. Then he would check off in red ink on the applications as he asked these questions. That's all. Then he asked for bank statements or insurance papers and he kept the insurance papers, copy of bills. I asked him if he wanted to keep my bank statements, etc. but he said no, what he had was sufficient. He also said then that he would review and we would hear from him. I asked if he would call or mail. He said, mail. He looked at my husbands passport, didn't take the I94 arrival/departure card and that was it. I don't know what to think.

Overall it sounds good. You would have had a much tougher time if he doubted the validityof the relationship. Maybe they are not finished with securitychecks? They are so darn tight tipped about that.

I wouldn't panic. I think you would know if you were denied. (F)

Oh Wow!!! What time was your interview? Ours was 10:59 A.M. We waited like an extra 10-15 minutes, not long at all. Yep, sounds like we got the same guy. The only thing I'm concerned about it, if they were going to approve the interview and issue green card, I thought they pulled the I94 arrival/departure card. Hmmm, guess we jsut have to wait and see. Now the I130 hasn't been approved as of yet when we went for the interview, so don't know if they will continue their investigation or not.

i think pulling or not pulling the i-94 card off doesnt really matter. they took my husbands at the interview and we still are waiting for fbi name checks almost 2 years later. he just got another one when he traveled. so not taking yours probably means nothing.

Maybe you're right. But pulling the I94 card gives you affirmation that you were approved pending FBI name check. I don't have that surety.

Now I am preparing to go for the inform pass at 7h15 today. Will update to you guys. I think FBI name check and Security clearance are different, I mean very similar process but different agencies.... They did tell us that if we did not hear any thing from them for 60 days, check back with them later. So I have no idea... Good luck to all VJs!
