Is there any thread keeping track of people who applied for AOS and EAD etc through marriage. I know they give you the generic 3-4 months but I want to know what we are really dealing with.

My lawyer said every marriage base petition goes to Chicago. Is this true? The agent I spoke to on line said Texas (although I suspect she may not have been listening to me).

Thanks

All marriage based I-485s are sent to the PO box in Chicago, they will then send it to Missouri service center, and MSC decides if an interview is needed or not, if no interview is needed the case is then sent to CSC for further processing. If an interview is needed MSC or CSC will send the case to your local USCIS field office.

If the case is sent to your field office you can find the processing time for I-485 on USCIS site. IF CSC there is no process time posted.

Other benifits like EAD and AP are sent by Chicago to MSC for processing.

Chicago is just the mail processing center for MSC.
