B-52 Nuclear Error' Flight'

An US military aeroplane mistakenly carried five nuclear warheads attached to cruise missiles across the country, a newspaper has reported. The B-52 bomber carried the missiles between air bases in North Dakota and Louisiana as part of a programme to take 400 missiles out of service, the Military Times quoted three officers as saying.The officers, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the nuclear warheads should have been removed before the missiles were mounted under the aircraft's wings for the August 30 flight. hehehe yeah, i was thinking along them lines.

dunno the rules and regulations though. heard something on the radio about this error causing the wmds being unaccounted for during the timeframe of the alleged infractions. so maybe it was a procedural error by some personnel. i'd have to agree that we shoould have 100% accounting for these munitions. just mho.

It's a conspiracy. Ya see, what they're doing is setting the tone for allowing these "accidental" flights over US airspace and then when nobody thinks it's any big deal, they're going to drop the bombs on strategic targets, most likely cities, and then Bushy-boy is going to declare a state of Martial Law and stage a miltary coup and remain in power for the next 20 years as dictator, turning this country into the United Majorly-Unfree Christian States of America.

And apparently the Air Force agrees seeing as the commander in charge was relieved of his duties.

Nuclear warheads CAN be transported, but not on bombers (on carriers)....this has been the rule for a couple or more decades

It would also seem that the error was only discovered upon arrival of the warheads at the destination. Which means that there is no telling how long the guys at the departure location would have tapped in the dark about it. Which makes it even scarier...
