Hehe you'll definitely hear from her the moment she knows and has the chance to text, your together in this, you two made it this far together.

Your making me happy just reading about it.

:) I dunno what to say! Needless to say, I was very pessimistic about the success of this process. I'm still indifferent to the fact that I've made it this far. I still can't believe it!

Thank you very much!

I hope everything goes well with your situation as well. I read about it and really felt for you as I felt all that same angst.

It was this forum that really got me through some tough times with this process. I sincerely hope everything goes all right for you. I didn't bother with a lawyer in my process. I did it the risky way and just chanced it. Trust me--I came into this process completely pessimistic and unorganized. You, sir, will make it through this. Trust me, I'm not very organized with this kind of stuff, LOL!

Hey, everyone! LOL! Nope! No word yet but I'm still waiting! It's 2 AM in my place and I don't care! I won't sleep a wink till I hear from her!

Best of luck to both of you!!! You have our prayers for a happy and speedy interview!!!

Thanks :)

December 5, 2005: We met online and our lives changed--instant connection, became best friends

May 15, 2006: She is put on temporary hold from her job and asks me if I could hold on for her in the event she didn't get the job back. I said "yes, of course" and she finally proclaimed her love to me and admitted she'd loved me since February.

September 25, 2006: I land in Manila airport and rush into my baby's arms for the first time. We were both surprised to realise we were NOT nervous.

September 25, 2006: Our first kiss :P

September 27, 2006: I proposed to her in person and she accepted! :)

December 20, 2006: Mailed I-129 K1 petition to Texas service Center

January 15, 2007: Petition returned to me rejected :/ (placed wrong amount on check--duh!)

Febrary 10, 2007: Resubmitted the petition adding updated info pages and a CORRECT check

February 26, 2007: NOA1

May 28, 2007: I land in Manila on our anniversary and we feel whole and complete yet again :)

June 20, 2007: NOA2 which said it would take six months for an interview (Dunno why it said that)

August 4, 2007: My baby receives Packet 4 unexpectedly out of nowhere--the frantic cramming begins

August 23, 2007: Frantically prepared documents FedExed

August 30, 2007: My baby has a long two days at St. Lukes but checks out fine! :)

September 6, 2007: Interview date: after 8 agonising hours--APPROVED!!! :D

September 6, 2007: Plans for her arrival in January 2008 for our wedding are established! :)

Thanks Vann, I'm sure I'll be ok things have a way of working out. I'm not sure a lawyer was needed at this point, I'm feeling a bit lost frankly. I'm fairly careful about everything, I think I should have just handled this, I hired a lawyer because my girlfriend couldn't read english forms well enough, nor I Thai forms. Who knows what's right, I won't give advice on that. Your inspiring me, I thank you. If I had any advice at all, it would be learn all you can about the culture and the language, it will serve you well.

Well, it makes me feel good to know I can help others with this situation! :) See? Proof that a pessimist like me could have success!!!! So unorganized and confused and yes--I felt lost too and look! Success!!! :D

I will say that it helped she's from the Philippines as they really use English a lot in their forms there.

Regardless, just stay the course. You seem more organized than I am so I'm sure you'll do fine :)

Well...lol! It's 3 AM in my place and I have work in the morning so I guess it's a little too late to break out the booze and start partying. Heh heh! tongue.gif

Thank you very much everyone and I will continue to post on this forum throughout the next several months and throughout my AOS process. Maybe I will help coach the newbies to this process as I've seen many do around here. It makes me feel good to be able to help others where I went through. smile.gif

You deserve to be this happy, enjoy it. I feel like I'm over posting, but who cares, damn, you really deserve this.

Thank you very much!

It's been such a long long and very rough road but I made it.

I'm only 23, a blue collar worker of TWO jobs and I made it. I'm living proof that anyone here can make it! :)

You be sure to keep me updated on your situation. I truly hope you get it all sorted out soon.

When all else failed in my situation, i employed massive persistence. People told me to slow down but I kept at it and I don't regret my possible overpreparation.

You take care and thank you for your kind support. Keep me updated through my inbox or this thread!

I'm very tired now, LOL! I will post here more tomorrow. Goodnight now!

And, goodnight and thanks all! :)
