I filed I-485 (adjustment of status) for my wife in Nov 2005. On Jan 30, 2006 they dispatched a letter that was probably appointment for biometric but it was returned undeliverable on Jan 30th even though I had changed my address. We called the national customer center and had them updated the address and we were told that they'll re-issue the letter and we would get the letter in 4 to 8 weeks. Its been more than 8 weeks but we have not received anything. And, I don't not what to do at this point.

I would make a infopass appointment at your local office and sort out the address issue... did you file form AR-11? and write to your local office to update your address? your sponsor also needs to update his/her address can't remember the form number but you will find the info on the USCIS website..
