quote]Does anybody know if they MUST send NOA1 extention letter BEFORE or along with biometrics letter? Coz many many people have NOA2 but not NOA1......

how long did it take to get it in mail since ou phone call?

i dont think they MUST send the noa1 first, but in my case they did but i didnt get it. i think the key is to enter your account number from the noa2 you received into the online case status and see what comes up. if you get the message saying your noa1 was mailed to you (as i did) but never got it in the mail, then you can make your argument for a replacement copy. if you didnt get that message, then they will say that you must wait 90 days to request your replacement.

i called the regular uscis number. there's no way to remember exactly what options i chose in the phone queue as there were so many, but you can get to a live person. i think after the message says that "there is no more information we can give you about your case", they ask if you want to continue and i believe saying yes will lead you to an actual person. it took a week for me to receive the duplicate after talking to them. hope this helps.

thank you, LuckyStrike!

I called the first number in your post (customer service) but didnt talk to alive person (anybody remember what to press after what in their menu? as their options were not quite clear for me), as they kept saying that "our representatives dont have any additional info then indicated in your online status (I have the same as in the 1st post of this topic)

They recieved my application on July 30th (I sent to NEbraska, but its in CA now), then I got biometrics appointment which is september 18th. Green Card already expired. I have no american DL, just one from my native country.. was pulled over not long ago. So I really need to get american licence before the court date.

who knows... Can I ask my local office to give my 1y GC extention during taking biometrics??? sometimes they stamp your passport about this...

Talking to a live person is tricky. It's been a while and forgot how it's done.

It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Hello,

I did not received my NOA1 either, I called 3 times to the 1800 number and I had 3 different answers , of course none help, all of them to wait on the mail.

I read your posting and I said exactly what you said to get a duplicate NOA1 and they said they would mail me a duplicate with a letter within 45 days and gave me a confirmation number. Can you tell me how long took you to get the duplicate after you called them?

THANKS!

On August 6, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case.

if you got that message in your online case status then they are telling you that your NOA1 was sent out (THAT is the notice they are talking about). if you didnt get it call them and tell them to send a duplicate because you never received the one they sent and make sure they know that your case status indicates the original was already sent...good luck.
