Instructions

Pay by check or money in the exact amount. Make the check or money order payable to the Department of Homeland Security.

That is correct, the Department of Homeland Security.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Natashabrenda,

On the instruction section of the I-129f:

Make the check or money order payable to U.S.Department of Homeland Security, unless:

A. If you live in Guam and are filing your petition there, make it payable to Treasurer, Guam.

B. If you live in the U.S. Virgin Islands and are filing yourpetition there, make it payable to Commissioner ofFinance

C. If you live outside the United States, Guam, or the U.S.Virgin Islands, contact the nearest U.S. consulate orembassy for instructions on the method of payment.

NOTE: Please spell out U.S. Department of HomelandSecurity; do not use the initials "USDHS" or "DHS."

Outside the envelope should read simply:

USCIS

California Service Center

P.O. Box 10130

Laguna Niguel, CA 92607-0130

NOTE: Check the instructions for YOUR service center's address - this depends on where you live - the above is just the California Service Center and is meant as an example only..

Just wanted to add something to this topic:

According to the USCIS web site: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD

It is acceptable to write the check to Department of Homeland Security or U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
