When I had to take him back it was during the week and It was horrible. I wanted to pull off the side of the road and cry. lol

Traffic was bad when hubby took me back to OHare and worse when he had to go back. On normal day, it would take us max 2 hrs, but that Friday afternoon, it took him almost 3.5 hrs to go back

The international arrival terminal (think it is terminal 5) in OHare was quick and entry was painless.

Jan 31 2005 : Sent DS 3032 to NVC

Feb 8, 2005 : NVC received DS 3032

Feb 21, 2005 : IV fee generated

Feb 25, 2005 : Sent I-864 fee bill

Feb 28, 2005 : I-864 fee bill delivered to St Louis

Mar 3, 2005 : IV fee bill received

Mar 7, 2005 : Sent IV fee bill

Mar 9, 2005 : IV fee bill delivered to St Louis

Mar 28, 2005 : I-864 fee credited against case.

April 6, 2005 : Received I-864 package

April 7, 2005 : Immigrant Visa fee credited against case.

April 11, 2005 : DS 230 is generated

Aug 12, 2005 : I-864 & DS 230 received by NVC

Sep 14, 2005 : RFE on I-864

Nov 3, 2005 : Checklist response received at NVC

Traffic in Chicago is bad most of the time (nothing compared to Atlanta though), which is why I normally prefer to fly into Indy. I'm trying to get a flight on the weekend, so it should be fine. Or I'm taking the shuttle bus to Norther Indiana (some shopping mall around Valparaiso). We only live an hour from there...

Permanent Green Card Holder since 2006, considering citizenship application in the future.

Terminals are quite far from each other in Detroit, especially if you'll change planes/airlines. I almost missed my connection there.

As a New Yorker, I wouldn't recommend JFK (especially in summertime : crowd + yelling + attitude + delays = complete mess ). Newark is OK. You'll probably arrive in the afternoon coming from Europe when the traffic is generally a little more quiet.

Sometimes I think I know everything, and I regain consciousness. Seen it all, done it all, forgot most of it....
