Calling Service Centers

I had an interesting conversation with an employee from CSC today, she informed me that I had called 4 times in the past month and that these calls are causing a delay in the processing of our case.

For anyone here that is experienced with the internal processes of the Service Centers, is she accurate in her statement?

If so, then I would most certainly quit calling, but what a cruel wait to treat their customers. This is an important matter to us and apparently they don't take it seriously. It's our lives and the life of our families they hold in their hands.

i think these guys are mad now , they are threatening customers to stay away.. basically they are short staffed and want people not to call them.... so they can do other office work.. I Dont know.. i am being harassed by NVC... they havent encashed my check from 25 days..... and are sending letters again and again for asking the same... which is stressful to me... NVC defeated me

I called 2 times in one day and got the same jerk that could barely speak English. He was pissed and told me he would make note of it on my file and I couldn't call for 30 days! That was way back and didn't know they mostly gave misformation so it really didn't matter.

Never have called them since.

At that time I would have loved to met the guy in a dark alley! Still would!

Calls made to a USCIS call center have no bearing on how fast or slow a case is adjudicated. Next time someone feeds you a line of bullsh!t like that, get their name and demand to speak to a supervisor.

I called yesterday and was told that I was calling too much (3 times since last Thursday). I agree they're rude and 9 times out of 10 they won't provide accurate information anyway so I've decided not to bother calling, for a while anyway. They give you bogus information to keep you from calling. They told me it would take 5 - 6 week to get a response from my RFE. I don't belive that! In other words... they don't want me to call back until after that much time has passed.

I can't imagine calling would have any barring on the speed in which your case will be processed. We have a right to know the status of our case. What the point in having a customer service line but not want people to call? And why have a customer service line and not provide accurate information?? They should just not have the line at all since calling only gains you nothing but more aggrevation.

Actually they don't really have a customer service line that u can use, since were not really supposed to be using the RFE trick. There is no other way really to talk to them besides that. They are trying to not answer phones so they can process more work. I try not to call to often myself, I will leave that up to the elected officials I contacted to call and deal with them. I would rather not have a call center and have more people working on actually processing cases. This is why the put the status of your case online. It isn't perfect by far, but they are trying at least. Calling this entire process an emotional roller coaster would be an understatement.
