Is anyone keeping track of the DORA filers around here? I know there are several threads for the traditional filers, but is there one for DORA? If so, someone please point me there. If not, lets start one here. Surely, Im not the only DORA filer wondering what on earth is going on.

just with the word DORA you will find a big thread, mostly havent being updated with the new guys (i meant the ones that have paid the 1010 usd). I think is much better to go through that one since they have a lot of typical questions being answered.

I did check that site out, but as you said - all pre-fee-change filers. I think it would be most useful for a bit of more recent information since they are now requiring us to file everything at once, etc. Also - seems those timelines are a bit off. The rush to beat the fees has caused a lovely mess!

On a totally unrelated not - everytime I see "DORA," I think of Dora the Explorer. Guess I'm just odd.

Our Visa Journey

2007

2/13 - I-129F sent to TSC

7/31 - K1 - APPROVED

8/5 - POE @ Dallas/Ft. Worth

8/11 - Wedding!!

10/15 - received Greencard

2009

Got 10-year Greencard

My feelings exactly. The overload seems to have caused a slowdown. The old timelines showed DORA cases getting in and out the door in 2 months. But no one seems to be updating them anymore, so Im wondering what to compare to. Seeing the current trend among filers would be better.

And you're not alone on the DORA image :) Im only thankful Ive never seen the show, so I dont have a theme song to get stuck in my head

SMLP, thanks for the link :)

Well all we have is

Interview/Application 9/13

I wish that we could view the Cashier's Check to see what the USCIS case number is!! Now we have to wait until we actually get the NOA to check the website I guess. Oh well. Interview was a breeze. We took MUCH more than we needed. We had taken everything from previous steps in the process, a few wedding photos, current bank statements with both of our names, copy of our lease with both names, and marriage cert. Waited 4 1/2 hours. Otherwise was smooth sailing. OH, and FYI, if you go to Dallas, take food/drink. There are no vending machines and they were letting people in with it! We were starving by the time we got out!!

OK quick question... did they give you your NOA1 on the date of your interview? Our guy told us to go ahead and go get lunch as soon as we finished so we didn't wait around for the NOA1.

Look at my timeline or my signature.

The NOA1 arrived a month later. I got first the NOA for the I-131 and the I-765, days later for the I-485 but in the same week. When I got that receipt number i was able to check also the one for the I-765 in the web site, but not yet for the I-131. Also the biometrics appointment notice came the same week, but actually 2 months later of the filing date. Did you fill for the three forms of only the I-485?

Hi allswell,

I did not find my last infopass helpful. All they said that it is on some "table" for final approval and I cann't meet that person. All they told me was to wait more.
