:energetic:

May I know where is that place?

Is someone here know where we can find and visit an apple orchard or any kind of orchard ? Just curious and love to see one.. :)

Lucy,

it is a gorgeous place to visit. It is near Lake Tahoe. If you and Gary ever have a chance to visit norhtern California in the fall, this would be a great place to visit. Here is a link to Apple Hill.

Different kinds of apple orchards and setups. Some even let you pick your own apples. Lots of apple products, plus other arts and crafts. Very nice. But the apple pies... oh man. :D But hey, looks like you have mastered the art! Gary is a very lucky man.

take care,

Daniel

Hi there

I been up to Apple hill. My father's best friend had a apple farm there.. He was organic and was good. He sold it though but up until he died he lived in apple hill.

It is really beatiful.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Sure thing here you go,

Makes 6 servings

17 min cook 5 min prep

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup butter or margarine

4 ounces cream cheese

1 (8 ounce) jar pineapple preserves, well drained

1/4 cup powdered sugar, for sprinkling on top (optional)

1.Mix all ingredients except preserves.

2.Knead into dough, roll out and cut with biscuit cutter, making a round circle. I use the lid of any small round container. I just press the small round lind into the rolled out dough it gives me a perfect round circle.

3.Place a teaspoon of preserves in each cut shape.

4.Fold and crimp edges together with fork.

5.Bake on a cookie sheet at 350 degrees F until light golden, about 12 minutes.

5. After baking, roll in confectioners' sugar or sprinke on top (optional)

*If you cant find pineapple jam or pineapple preserves in ur local grocery heres my home recipe too. Its super easy

30 min cook time 15 min prep

20 ounces crushed pineapple in juice

2 cups granulated sugar

1 table spoon of corn strach

Bring pineapple and sugar to a boil in a large saucepan and cook 20 minutes. Add table spoon of corn starch stirring constantly until thickened or until the temperature reaches 200 degrees- jelly stage- on a thermometer.

Pour immediately into hot sterilized jars and process in a water-bath canner for 5 minutes. Place jars on a clean towel. Cover with towel to prevent drafts and let cool for 24 hours.

If you want to use this right away in the turnovers make sure you DRAIN the preserves really well because you dont want it to be runny or it will make the dough too soft and hard to manage.

Enjoy =0)
