I know most of you could probably care less, but our little school kicked their @ss! It's being called the biggest upset of college football. We knew it was possible because we have faith in our team but weren't sure we could really pull it off. It was the most amazing football experience I've been a part of in my lifetime. It's so exciting to know I was part of history in the making. It's great to be a Mountaineer! GO APPS!

Where exactly is Appalachan State located??

I have a good friend that went to Michigan.....I'm gonna have fun with this.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

It's located in a small town called Boone, NC. It's in mountains of NC. There are about 13,000 people in the whole town. We have about 16,000 enrolled in our school and our average attendance at footballs games is around 20,000. Although we have had up too 25,000 in our stadium that seats 16,000. Not very much compared to the 110,000 Michigan's stadium seats.

I had debated on going to the game but am so glad we decided to go. My mom is the football coaches secretary so we really didn't want to miss it. We went down on the field after the game and it was so fun to be down there looking up at all those stunned Michigan fans. It's something I won't forget for a long time if ever.

Just something else I wanted to add really quickly, our quarter back is 19 years old. He's a sophomore. He weighs in at 170 pounds and is 6 feet tall. Not much of a match up against the near 300 pounders on Michigan's defense. We only have about 5 or so players on our team that top out over 200 pounds. It truly was an amazing sight to behold.

Well Done Appalachian State :dance::thumbs:

Hubby and I used to live in NC, about 45 mins or so from Boone in a tiny wee place called Laurel Springs....we frequently visited Boone during our stay in NC. ;)

We moved back to NE and watched our Beloved...Nebraska Cornhuskers kick Nevada's @ss ..hehehe

I was born and raised in Michigan. So, of course, I'm a Michigan faithful, and this was a huge disappointment for me. Kudos to Appalanchian State because they played their tails off! BigBootylicious must have been going wild during the game...

on behalf of the state of Oklahoma, i would like to congratulate & thank Appalachan State. because now the OU losing to Boise State in the Feista Bowl late year is no longer the biggest upset in NCAA football history. :)

GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!

Thanks! I'm totally surprised to find out how many people actually hate Michigan. We made plenty of enemies up there, but we made many more friends ever where else.
