Just seeing him was enough for me. It sounds corny but I knew the moment I laid eyes on him that he was my love.

It was kinda the same for me. I had always heard stories from other people that when they met their SO, they just knew.....like Kismet. I totally believed in Kismet, but i wasnt so sure that i would actually know when i met the right person.......then i first met him and it hit me like a ton of bricks!

It was a lot of things for me.... we met online, so most of our formative part of our relationship was done online.... It was just the way that he was so there for me... it's like he was just perfect for me. And he'd say the most amazing things! (He still does) I knew I was in love with him before he came here a couple months later, but that first kiss confirmed it as well.

It was the evening he rang me to tell me his wife had emailed him to say she wouldn't be returning to him and she wanted a divorce. He asked me to go drinking with him to take his mind off it(we mixed in the same 'social circle')....unfortunately it was the day I broke up with a boyfriend and was feeling pretty miserable so I didn't want to go out, I think his words were 'misery loves company....we can cry in our beers together..'

So we met at the pub....moaned for like 10 mins and the rest of the evening we had a hilarious time, we didn't stop laughing, I think it was that moment that I saw how well we got on together and what a nice guy he was.

We got together some months later...after he had got all the 'rebound sex' out of his system  (nooo....not with me... ).

We took a backpacking trip round Italy and fell in love in Venice :luv:

After getting to know him online I knew he was sincere and sweet and one day something he said to made me fall in love. But at that time he had been telling me he had no plans to get married ever. He wanted to devote his life to helping others in the future and never thought he'd find someone who'd want to do the same. So he'd rather be alone and not have to deal with a wife who wouldn't be willing to help him serve the poor, etc in the future. When we talked, it wasn't just flirting it was also debate about topics, and yet somehow while debating we started falling in love.

I was complaining that all the guys around me who were good were either married, getting married, or some other problem and that I didn't know when I'd ever get married. He said, "don't worry, Jesus is taking extra time to find someone for you because you are special". I thought it my head, that's it, I want to marry you! I told myself I was insane falling in love with someone I met online and who lived so far away, and kept my feeling to myself, especially since all of his talk about never getting married!! So it took another month or so to admit anything and by then he was the one who said it first. I made him change his mind about never getting married... :D... even before meeting him I also wanted to do some kind of helping people in the future and so he knew I wouldn't stop him from doing that. Even his parents knew he had solidly said he will never marry, so they were a bit surprised too.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

....when we couldn't ever stop talking till the phone cards ran out.....

....when he would get up early and I would stay up late just to speak....

....and when it felt so natural when he finally held me in his arms....

what she said

He was hooked much earlier than I was in the relationship, I took a little longer to be convinced. ;) But I knew there was something there when I saw him smile at me the first time we talked using webcams -- he has the BEST smile. :luv::luv:

And I thought I was hiding it pretty well (I'm not one to go on about new relationships to my family) until my grandmother told my mom that I was the happiest she had seen me in a long time -- and I thought I was acting normal.

I was at the airport SUPER early when he came here the first time; I'd come by myself and when I got there, the weather had been terrible, one of my friends who works for an airline had cheerfully informed me that the flight might have had to be re-routed to Philadelphia, I had a pounding headache, and I was sick to my stomach. Surely I felt like it was a bad omen when I was crumpled in front of a toilet in the ladies' room at JFK, on the phone with another friend who was trying really hard not to laugh while she told me everything would be okay, and I felt like I couldn't even keep a cup of tea in my belly!

But when I first saw him, honestly, my fastest, first gut reaction was...WHAT on Earth have I been so worried about? I was thrilled and relieved and excited, and I ran up to him and gave him the world's biggest hug, and he hugged me back, and it made absolutely everything worth it. I still remember the way he first smelled and looked and felt. Oooooooohhhhhh. (L)

seriously for me it was how she was kind and considerate to total strangers while at the same time being nobody's fool. and the fact that she loved me and i couldn't (and still can't) figure out why

 I had a similar thing happen. I didn't dare mention anything to my friends and family at first because I couldn't believe what was happening. I thought I was acting normal too. One night my good friend said to me...geez, you are acting giggly tonight, what's the deal?? Well, I still didn't tell her, I was like, what? huh? . My cover was blown though! :D

She was a lot of things I always knew I wanted, and a few I never knew I wanted in a girl, and it came through a LOT when I sat down and spoke with her alone and apart from the crowd for the first time in a club in Covent Garden.

Then after we... she suggested a walk around where she was staying in London at like, 4am.

Those two things stayed with me long after memories of the rest of the few days I'd spent with her when we met had gone.

The accent, strong green eyes, long red hair, and great rack certainly didn't hurt either.

:hehe:

Big meanie.
