Interview in Sacramento

Hiya Everybody,

Our AOS interview date is September 27th and it's in Sacramento. I just wondered how many others here on VJ had/or are having theres done in Sacramento and what it is like compared to other offices in other cities.

I've read on here a few months ago that depending on what office your AOS interview takes place at will depend on if you and your partner will get seperated for questioning. It's not a problem for us we just want to be prepared for what to expect from Sacramento.

Hope others will answer, but in the meantime, you can read the reviews - go to "Reviews: Embassy/USCIS/POE" at the top of this page, in the "Select Local Office" box just put in "Sacremento" There's even a review for 27 Aug! I did the same thing with Fresno but most recent one is last October.

Eileen, I have my biometrics at Oakland USCIS though I am in Sunnyvale....does this mean my local office and eventually interview will be at Oakland???

Looks like it, I don't see any Sunnyvale office on the list for Biometrics:

Maybe you will get transferred to CSC and get a quick approval without interview!

Go to "Office Locater" on the left side of the page, scroll down and click on "Application Support Centers" and scroll down to the bottom and put in "California" to see the Biometrics centers. For interviews, after "Office Locater," scroll down and click on "Local Offices" then again choose "California" to see the nearest places they conduct interviews.

Thanks Eileen. AS per this website..i will fall under San Jose and actually thats what I always thought where I would have all my stuff taken care of but then my Biometrics appt came in and it is at Oakland USCIS !!! This confused me. Well i will know eventually )

Thanks Dano! Yes I organized most of the paperwork over Labor Day weekend. Now I'm working on the two notarized statements from friends who know us, hopefully that should be complete by mid-next week. Also waiting on a letter from our bank saying it's a joint account. And starting practicing interview questions. And finding a translator. All else is good to go!
