Okay I know I'm way ahead of our process but I do like to prepare and in my research I was going over this DS-230 that the embassy will submit to my love in our "packet 3". And this last question threw me for a loop...

34. Were you assisted in completing this application? check YES or NO

( if answer is Yes, give name and address of person assisting you, indicate weather relative, friend,

travel agent, attorney, or other )

I haven't helped my hubby fill this out yet but have planned to. Is it okay to check the Yes box? Then state that it was his relative, which is me his spouse who assisted him? Does helping my husband fill this form out have any negative reprecutions? Thanks for your help!

Thanks denali that's exactly what I was planning to do. Fill it out in advance and then he can use my form as an example of what to do. So in essence YOUR example and VJ example falls into the same category and that isn't "assiting" him? Hmmm...pretty smooth. I think I like it! LOL I'll look forward to knowing for sure if checking yes is a negative or not. Thanks so much for you speedy reply.
