Reading this forum, I've noticed that a lot of people received their biometrics appointment before their NOA1, while others got their NOA1 but no biometrics letter yet. I'm in the latter category and got my NOA1 after exactly one month.

I also read that it's a good idea to have my name labeled on my outside mailbox. I live in an individual house so anything sent to this address, no matter the name, should arrive without a hitch, but anyway, I only put the sticker on the mailbox about 10 days ago and am worried that the postman didn't deliver it for some reason. That's assuming USCIS even sent it, which I do not know, since my case status is unavailable (either online or by phone).

I've been trying to figure out how to speak to someone at USCIS to inquire as to whether they've sent me the biometrics letter and I didn't get it, or if all is well.

I'm surely stressing myself out needlessly over this, but it's grounds for denial of my petition if for some dumb reason I did not receive the biometrics letter and fail to show up at the appointment...

Anyway, should I just stop worrying?

Also, I seem to remember that there was an outline somewhere on this site on how to navigate the USCIS "customer service" phone system in order to speak to an actual person but I can't find out how. Any ideas?

I wouldn't worry. My biometrics letter came over a month after the NOA1. And it's scheduled for almost 2 months after I filed. I think some local offices are overwhelmed.

Ditto, I wouldn't worry about it. Many people who filed in July are having biometrics scheduled for like two months after they filed. I guess the system is just overwhelmed by all the people who rushed to file before the fee increase.
