The age does not really determine if you are ready to get married or not. It is what you feel in your heart and think with your head.

Some people are very mature at the young age while some people are still childish in their older age.

Just keep in mind that a marriage means more responsibility and work to keep the marriage happy.

If you do not think that you are ready to enter the marriage yet then take your time!!

I'm 25, she's 22, and today is our 2-year anniversary from the date we first met. Obtaining the visa was quick and painless and we got married July 21st. I'm now waiting for my green card.

I wouldn't expect any problems in your case either, especially since you're from a country that is unlikely to cause any red flags in an immigration officer's mind.

As far as getting married goes, in my case we also had doubts as to whether we should get married so early in our relationship, but we feel the same as you do about each other, and that was our only way to be together at this point in time, so we did it! We believe in this relationship very strongly, and so if you've considered it long and hard and have decided that you can handle marriage, then by all means... don't worry about your age, only about your state of mind.

There are plenty of folks out there that went through this even younger. As long as you are two consenting adults and can prove the existence of a true and valid relationship, age is hardly material. :)

My fiance is American and we're about to get married soon convinced that that's what we want to do. Believing that we've found our true soulmate.

I'm only 21 and he's soon to be 24 but disregarding our age our marriage is truly serious. We've been together for 18 months and we both agree that we would have waited a while with getting married if the curcumstances wasn't the way the are with me being from Denmark and so on. But we still really wish to say I DO so all the comlications with a LDR is over!

What concerns me is that I am not sure how the interviewer or the USCIS all in all is going to look at our situation, with us being so young and all... I'm afraid we can't convince them that we are sincere!!!!!

Please give me some advice!! Anybody else out there being young and married?????

I was 20 at my husband's AOS interview, he was 22. We didn't do K1 but the issue did not even come up at adjustment of status.

this is the way the world ends

My husband was 22 when we got married (granted i was 29 but who is counting) hehehe and hes happy and doesnt regret anything. not to mention he took on my daughter as his daughter and shes 11 now.

i dont believe age is a big issue as long as your mature enough to take on the lifetime commitment of marriage. early 20's is hardly too young to get married :)

Good Luck.

Hi

My Husband is a USA citizen and I'm Australian. When we went through our visa interview and processing he was 25 and I was 18. I hadn't even finished my final exams. They never questioned our ages once. I'll write some more later but I don't have time right now. Just wanted to let you know that we had no problems at all.
