Well my husbands AOS interview is around the corner. It's at 10:59 A.M. I have copy of the lease, insurance papers, taxes, taxes on the co-sponsor, bank statements, but the bank statement doesn't show joint account even though my husband is on there. The problem is, my credit isn't so hot so I can't open a regular checking account and my husbands credit is new, so he's had a hard time opening one also. Anyway, it's a prepaid checking account and I would be more than happy to explain to the counselor about my credit and head on collision. I have our birth certificates, translations, marriage certificate and translation, my husband will bring his EAD card and passport, we have copies of the bills in our names, pictures are being developed. Will print out the digital ones tomorrow. Car title, what else? Kind of nervous, hope we get a good counselor. Hate someone else judging my life.

8-24-06, Faisal arrives at O'Hare Airport!!!!!!!

EAD filed in middle of September, 2006 approved in middle of October, 2006 and husband working

at end of October, 2006!

5-2-07- Noa1 on AOS

5-18-07-fingerprinting completed

5-25-07-letter received from USCIS from Missouri asking for proof of income from cosponsor.

Sounds like you are good to go! Don't mention about your credit unless asked. You have other stuff to show like bills in your names etc. Here's wishing you good luck! :thumbs:

I agree, don't say nothing about your credit issue. I don't understand the checking account issue. Here in NJ anyone can get a free checking account and there's not credit check or anything. Also if you have a joint account but it doesn't show activity -- acording to my lawyer they don't consider it as evidence so it's actually better not to have it.

10/01/2010: Application was sent.

10/04/2010: Application was received.

10/06/2010: Email received "Application has been received" & Noticed Date.

10/07/2010: "Touch"

10/08/2010: "Touch" & Check was Cashed

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

As long as the documents you mentioned are listed in both your names you will be just fine, we were. I totally agree with the advice to not say anything about credit if you are not asked. This is not really relevant. Just before our interview our lawyer prepped us for it and she said to only answer the questions that are asked. Do not go into detail or offer more than what they asked for. If they want to know more, they will ask. It keeps things more simple that way.
