We're focused on making the most of the time apart...and being that there's so much to do, we're trying not to just spend time on the phone for hours on end. Since he's leaving his country, I'm pushing him to really make the most of the time he's got left there....family stuff, gigs, footy, lads' weekend trips, etc. In fact, he's going to see Prince in London on Wed. *pout* hahahahah

We speak daily, little calls throughout the day....what I call a 'fly by hi'. He's got a virtual number, and I have free incoming on my celly, so we speak ALLLLLLLLLL the time, hahaha. But our schedules are tight so we don't spend the copious hours on the phone like we used to.

He'll be here soon enough! Woooooooo hooo!

We're on QQ about 2x a week for a few hours. Sometimes we'll send a few emails during the week and I'll call her a few times as well or we'll send text messages.

If you work and have a life you have a routine, so only out of the ordinary stuff is truly interesting and worth talking about, otherwise what are you talking about? What did you eat during the day? What are you wearing? How was work? Anything new?

I'd contact her in a second if something major is happening or if I need information.

Personally I'm not the type to spend hours daily saying I miss you or I love you. I hate cheapening the words and she knows I miss/love her and if I didn't believe she missed and loved me I wouldn't be doing all this.

In my past I had girlfriends who would expect and just about demand daily contact. Well, in the end we still broke up. All those calls, messages, letters, promises, sweet nothings, gifts, etc., are just memories and useless.

I don't want a needy girl or someone who is insecure.

She has a life in China. When she gets here I'm going to help her build a life here as well.

The only thing I would change is I would want frequent trips. Nothing is the same as looking in someone's eyes, holding their hands, and getting that feeling you have when you are together.

This was not meant as a controversial question. How you view your relationship is up to you.

Chris and I speak every day... Usually anywhere between 2 and 5 hours... Has been known to be longer than that though!

And, when he used to have a job where he was on the computer all day, we used to email eachother about 30 times a day on top of that!

He doesn't work in an office anymore though, so we now only email eachother occasionally.

We always manage to find something to talk about. That's probably the thing that I love most about him, it is never boring and he always make me laugh. We can spend HOURS talking about something completely random that i'm sure if someone else were to listen in they would send the men in white coats around in a heartbeat

Wasn't taken as controversial. My point is extensive daily contact doesn't ensure or reinforce a LDR. Everyone seemed to be talking about hours daily and my own past experience reflected the same, however my current relationship doesn't reflect this, so I gave more detailed information. Take it as you will.

Exactly the way we spend our time. Sometimes we think it is just us. Just enjoy each other all the time as we will together.

Having a web cam open or talking on the phone isn't 'spending time together,' it's 'keeping in contact.'

Don't start a thread here seeking out comments that match your own situation and try to paint me as the bad guy.

Go post on any neutral location and ask if your situation is psycho or if my outlook is psycho and base it off that. I'm done with this thread.
