Hi,

For anyone who has had to request police certs from other countries than the country you are filing in, how long did it take you to receive them?

What procedure did you do?

Thanks for any responses.

Jill

Which countries are you requesting police certificates from? All countries are different.

First you need to find out if the countries in question produce police certificates (there's something called "reciprocity list" online and they tell you which countries and which agencies in those countries give police certificates). Then you need to contact each country/agency directly and find out the requirements. Some take as little as 15 minutes (some places in Canada for example) others take longer.

Which countries are you talking about here? People can give you more advise the more specific you are.

Good luck L.

So to clear up, as you can see from my timeline, we have the Polish one, which is where we live. We are waiting on the Czech Republic and Slovakia police certificates as he applied for them at the embassies here in Warsaw.

Thanks.
