Hi everyone!

I am posting this question for my aunt...

She and her children (derivative applicants) recently submitted their DS-230 along with the required docs, but just photocopies. And the yesterday their petitioner received a letter from NVC asking for her BC but her children's BC which are also just fotocopies were accepted. My aunt's BC is late registered...do u think this is the problem or does NVC just need an original NSO copy of her BC?

has anyone experienced the same situation?

pls help!

May 31, 2006 - sent I130

June 5, 2006 - Received by USCIS

June 20,2006 - I130 notice date

January 25, 2007 - Hubby became a naturalized citizen

January 26, 2007 - sent mail to upgrade from F2 to IR1 and also upgraded it over the fone (USCIS told him to wait for 45 days for I130 to be upgraded)

March 13-Received a letter from USCIS asking for a copy of naturalization cert plus a cover letter entitled I130 Request for Upgrade

March 20- faxed the papers

March 21- TOUCHED!!! finally after 9 months...

March 22- Approval notice

April 2 - Case received by NVC and was assigned a case #.

April 30 - DS3032 & AOS Fee Bill have been generated and sent out

May 2 - NVC accepted agent of of choice w/c was e-mailed the same day DS-3032 was generated

May 7 - IV Fee bill has been generated

May 15 - Both AOS and IV fee bills received in the mail.

May 16 - Mailed both bills to NVC via USPS (overnight)...

May 25 - NVC finished processing AOS fee payment.

May 28 - I-864 package was generated and mailed out

May 29 - NVC finished processing IV fee payment

June 4 - DS230 was generated

June 8 - I-864 package was received in the mail

June 13 - sent I864EZ to NVC

June 15 - DS230 received in the mail

June 20 - DS230 sent to NVC

June 25 - DS230 received by NVC...I864EZ completed

July 6 - CASE COMPLETE!

Aug 15 - INTERVIEW DATE! Approved!!!

Oct 2- it's time to leave...= ) = (

hi mommy's angel!

my aunt actually submitted an NSO copy but just a photocopy and not the original NSO copy. and on the letter the NVC sent, it was stated "Not proper governtment authority". She does not know what else to submit or if she needs to attach an affidavit or proof that her BC is late registered.

pls anyone?

02/03/12 - email received card production ordered!!!

09/05/12 - package sent to Phoenix AZ
09/07/12 - package received
09/10/12 - NOA sent
09/11/12 - check cashed, email and text received
09/13/12 - biometrics sent
09/14/12 - received NOA(took 4 days to received!!!)
09/15/12 - biometrics letter received
09/26/12 - finger print done
09/28/12 - placed in line for an interview schedule
11/21/12 - interview scheduled
11/28/12 - received interview letter
12/26/12 - INTERVIEW DAY at 2pm
12/31/12 - scheduled for oath ceremony

My father-in-law does not have his birth certificate registered with NSO. According to NSO people, late registration takes about 3-6 months (not sure why it takes that long. I hope they are wrong with that). But anyways, the NSO took my father-in-law's birth certificate, gave him a blank NSO paper stapled with his original birth certificate, to show it is for late registration.

2007-02-22 **I-130 Sent to VSC

2007-07-02 **I-130 APPROVED at USCIS- CSC

2007-10-10 **CASE COMPLETED at NVC

2007-11-15 **INTERVIEW DATE. APPROVED at USEM!!!

2007-12-02 **Arrival from MNL to JFK (NYC)

2007-12-10 **Visit to SSA

Just go to nso and order a couple birth certificates because they will need one for the interview too. If the birth certificate is registered late it would be a good idea to also get baptismal certificates. The new requirement in the filipines for a passport is birth certificate and baptismal certificate. You may want to check the manila thread for new and updated information.
