Hello Everyone ,

My name is Mini and this is my experience at the Guyana Embassy (k1 visa).

My first interview was on the 25th,Oct,2006 , I was there on time and I was interviewed by a Female CO , she asked me lots of questions :

I was issued 221g for a Joint Interview

1.Where is your Fiance?

2. Don't he know that he have to be here with you ?

3. How old are you ?

4.What's your Fiance Occupation ?

5.Where does he works ?

6.Name & Age of your Fiance & his parents ?

7.What's your Fiance Address & Phone #( cell/home/work)

8.What do you like or love about him ?

9.Are you physically, emotionally & sexually active with your Fiance? Hell Yea

10.Do you really love him ?

11.When did you first had sex with your fiance?

12.What gifts did he gave to you since you've known him?

13.Does he support you ?

14.How did you meet him ?

15.When & where ?

My Second Interview was on the 8th,June,2007.

This time it was a joint interview & My Fiance was with me , but that didn't change anything cause we got interviewed by a Male Guyanese CO Separately.

These are the Questions the CO asked Me :

1.How did you meet your fiance?

2.How old were you and him at that time ?

3.Why do you want to marry him ?

4.Is it just to go in the USA (Meaning if its a business arrangement) :(

5.Are you Intimate with your Fiance?

6.When was your first and last time you had sex with him ?

7.How often you have sex with your fiance when he's spending time with you ?

8.What is your Fiance income ?

9.How often does he send you money and how much does he send ?

10.CO asked me to tell him more about my fiance and his family meaning what do I know about them etc

11.How many kids you would like to have with your soon to be husband ?

12.Won't it affect your relationship if you have kids ?

13.Are your Parents Rich PPL ?

JEEZ I'm 20 yrs old /Age don't matter when you love someone

What hurts me the most when I was interviewed on the 8th,June,2007 by that Male Guyanese CO .

He thinks everything I'm telling him is a LIE also he keep telling me that my relationship is BUSINESS I'm too young to get marry and have kids.

He pressured me at that interview thinking I would get weak & cry but I didn't cause I know to my heart that I was telling him nothing else but the TRUTH (I Look at him face to face and answer all my questions because I'm not afraid of him or nervous at all ) he didn't pressured my Fiance that much like he did to me .

For me I think he was just interested about My Intimacy with My Fiance becuz he keeps asking me about our SEX LIFE :o .

Proof of My Relationship :

Emails from 2005-2007

Letters & Cards from since yr 2000

Call records from 2005-2007

Money tranfers Receipts (Lot of those)

Pictures with us tog (Kissing etc)

Engagement Party Cost over (2 M)

DHL Package receipts etc

We have so much of proof that our relationship is REAL and still they put us on AR .

Does anybody know how long the AR in Guyana Embassy takes ?

Plz :help: if you have any idea . Thank You !!

Yours Truly Mini

Sorry I don't know anything about your embassy but there is no time frame for AP, each case is unique.

He can call DOS at 202 663 1225 ( press 1, press 0, ) for weekly or biweekly case status updates.

My fiance will also face a 2. interview and I hope to be present.

Currently we have to jump to other crazy hoops.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

Best wishes (F)

The OP hasn't logged on to VisaJourney since September last year. Try looking at "Reviews: Embassy" (link atop any VJ page).

Thread from 2007 is now closed to further comment.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
