My husband and I went to our immigration interview this morning in Chula Vista (7.00 am!!!). It went pretty well, nothing to stress about, but it's not over as I was hoping. I was suppose to get my biometrics appointment weeks ago, but they never sent me a letter. The officer who saw us this morning said I would be approved once I get these fingerprints taken and he got us an appointment in a little less than 2 weeks. After that, he said I would have to wait 3 weeks to get the green card. Apparently, my name check has been done already.

Also, getting my biometrics done might also get me a work permit before the green card arrives. I should already have received it. Apparently it has been approved a while ago (I did not know) but they could not send it to me until the FBI takes my picture. Grrr...

Apart from that, the interview itself went smoothly. We were overprepared compared to what we were asked to show. The officer wanted a few things with both our names on and proof of financial suport. That's it. He asked how we met. And he was more interested in what kind of lawyer myfather-in-law is than anything else!

Just have to wait a few more weeks now

Caroline

I too have an interview on April 24th and was sent a notice saying they'd send an appointment for biometrics but they haven't yet. So I probably will be held up too. Anyway I am glad it went well. What did they ask you?
