Hi All,

We haven't decided on a date of marriage and we are faxing the checklist from Packet 3 back to the consulate as we gathered all the required documents.

Does anyone know if it is a big deal to put just a timeframe, for example "a month and a half from the moving date", or we should just pick an approximate date?

Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

10/27/06 Mailed I-485 and I765 to Chicago

11/07/06 Checks cashed

11/09/06 Received NOA1 for both EAD and AOS in the mail

11/13/06 Received a letter for Biometrics appointment

11/15/06 Received e-mail that RFE has been mailed yesterday

11/21/06 Biometrics appointment

12/04/06 Sent RFE back

12/08/06 RFE accepted in Lee's Summit - USPS confirmation

12/12/06 RFE recorded on file by USCIS

12/13/06 Touched

12/18/06 Touched again

12/26/06 Received Interview letter dated Dec 19

that might be ok...i'm sure they understand that you can't specify a date for your marriage. i think my fiancé said "soon after entry into the US"...or something like that. Hope this helps. :)

Thanks to all who replied, that is very helpful. I sent e-mail to Vancouver consulate yesterday to let them know I have all the documents, except that Affidavit of Support will be ready on April 17, and I couldn't believe they sent me e-mail back this morning with Interview Date May 09, and asked me just to fax the checklist to them.

I am so excited. YIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

I just put May/June on mine. They can't expect you to have a specific date chosen when they tell you not to book anything!

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives
