Hi all,

First time poster, long time lurker

Getting ready to send off our I-129 just need some reassurance about our proof of meeting

For the past 18 months we've been living in Japan, working for the same company, which we applied to as a couple (although we did have separate apartments as required by the company).

We have tons of secondary proof (ie photos of us in front of various Japanese stuff looking dorky) and we do have our passport stamps into and out of Japan, Korea, Malaysia, London and back to Ireland all on the same day.

But since all of our travels were booked on the internet, and paid for by credit card, and since we just left Japan and tossed all our sentimental ####### (ie Boarding Passes, etc) to make bags lighter I find that we're lacking on paper proof.

I have all of our email confirmations for flights, in both names, and hotel bookings, usually just in my name. I've also requested a letter from our former company stating that we applied as a couple.

Should I be worried?

Jo

The matching passport stamps are good...

When I've used my credit card to pay for airline tickets, sometimes the itinerary and other info (maybe even names of passengers) actually shows up on the credit card statement, so I'd check your credit card statements to see what info they show.

And geez, I don't know what airline you're flying, but my old boarding passes don't weigh much :P Just messin' with ya...

Good luck!

Passport stamps and hotel receipts were important when Claudeth had her interview. The officer was looking that that stuff closely

as I didn't know at the time that I'd be needing that sort of proof, I got rid of my e-ticket to Texas last year (paper and e-copies), but one phone call to the travel company and they re-sent the original documents via email, at no charge... and yeah; credit card statements (and online banking records) often contain more than you might think

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

We also lived in the same country (out of the united states) when sending the I-129F. I included a photograph of us together from that year, and bill statements to prove we lived in the same area. We just got our second notice last week, so I guess that was sufficient.
