Some questions about my interview

I have a few questions about some possible problems at the interview.

I met my SO while I was still married. I left my husband because he beat me as well as other bad things. When I was nineteen he raped me and I was so young and scared and ashamed and didn't know what to do so I married him cause I thought that was the only way to retain my families honor. My SO helped me pay for my annulment. During the case I do have certified court documents from the court appointed psychologist of him freely admitting to these things he has done.

When I met my SO it was the first time I every really felt happiness and felt loved. During the annulment process I became pregnant with my SO's baby. He was born on Oct 24th, 2006 but had maconium aspiration and he died a day later.

These events are terrible but We have done very well excepting them and just want everything to go well for the rest of our process so we can get on with our lives and begin a family.

My question is will the fact the I became pregnant while I was in the process of being annulled have any negative repercussions on my interview decision?

Also after I separated from my husband I began using my maiden name again and obtained a passport in my maiden name even though my legal lat name was still his. Will this also cause me problems. We have plenty of evidence of meeting in person and that we lived together for 6 months last year as well as an ongoing relationship evidence. The affidavit of support is good, it shows he can support me. Are these things all that will matter. Or will these other things i mentioned above cause me problems. My interview is in Oct 2007 at the Manila US Embassy.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

I'm sorry that this has happened to you. You can put that behind you now since you have a new life to look forward to with your new partner in life.

These are the key things for a successful interview for your case:

1. the USC can support the beneficiary

2. there is an ongoing communication or proof that there is an ongoing relationship

3. since you are filing for K1 and has recently been annulled, you can avail CENOMAR from NSO

4. Obtain all marriage termination documentation

*DECISION from the court (original and certified copy)

*CERTIFICATE OF FINALITY (original and certified copy)

*CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION (certified copy from Local Civil Registry (LCR))

*DECREE OF DECLARATION OF NULLITY OF MARRIAGE (original and certified copy)

*NSO ANNOTATED MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE

5. Even if you are using your maiden last name now, just make sure that all your documentation such as passport, visa application and etc submitted to USCIS were under the same name. Your married last name can be noted as "Other Names Used"

If I missed one or two things, I'm sure it will be posted here by other VJ members.

Good luck!

Thank you so much of your advice. It does help. Im approved and had no problem in the interview...Cenomar is not allowed for me since I was once married .They asked for my MC from NSO(w/ annotation)..

Good luck to all who has been approved!!
