My husband filed in California for Citizenship last aug. he called and they said he was in line to wait for FBI clearence how much longer is this going to take? Does anyone know the time line? because obviously the timelines they post are not accurate.

Please if anyone could help I'm his wife and I am canadian and have to wait for him to get citizenship before applying for me because all lawyers I've spoken to have told me that it's 3-5 years for me if I apply from him being a permanent resident:(

I was told this week by an immigration attorney that the time frame for the Los Angeles district office was 4 to 8 months. Is your case in that office?

Thanks for the info. we're in the San Diego office:( I wish it was 4-8 months it's already been 13 months. Should it really be that different for San Diego?
