Hope everyone is having a good day! I am planning my trip to Egypt,my first trip had to be delayed because he was called to do his military service. And he will be out in December...YAAY!!! :jest: I am a bit nervous because I have never been on a airplane and I am going to place where I only know my soon to be husband. I was wondering if there was anyone traveling during the same time I would like to have a travel buddy. Some to talk with during the flight and layovers. I am in SC but I can travel to another State by car or other transportation.I don't care if I have to fly back alone I will be ok but going it would be nice to have someone to travel with.

I hear you! That flight is terribly long. But seeing as I'm on the opposite coast I'd leave out of Seattle. I can go from Dec. 15th - Jan. 7th and I'm looking at tickets now around $1,173 USD. Have to clear this time with Hubby though because he's got a schedule to consider while I'm on winter break. Lets stay in touch though.

I am leaving December 26th for two and a half weeks out of Cincinnati Ohio. That is if my health is ok with the pregnancy and I can arrange work schedules. I normally fly out of Cinci to Detroit Michigan to Amsterdam or London then to Cairo. It's a long long trip but plan some layovers in case your flight is delayed overseas. I found Amsterdam -Schiphol to be an easy airport to maneuver in and the signs were very easy to read. Also, flying into Cairo was a bit different. I was not used to soldiers with guns at the entrance coming in off the bus. They were helpful if you asked them but sometimes were so serious looking...Just an FYI on what to expect. I have a friend that is engaged to an Egyptian that is traveling with me also. You will find Egypt to be full of friendly people that like to have fun. I think they have great food and so many places to see that are so rich in history. You will love it and miss it as your second home when you back. We haven't bought our airline tickets but plan to within the next month....do you have your passport yet? You need to be working on that if you do not...they have somewhat of a delay I heard.

Oh you will love Egypt, and it is so true the people there are sooooooooooooo friendly and treat you like ur special. There are always "hi's" and "welcome to Egypt" being said from lots of people and oh so big smiles they give you. It will surely be like your 2nd home and you will miss it so much when you leave to go home, its hard leaving. I went 2 times and each time I took the flight from MPLS to AMSTERDAM and then to Cairo(4 hr 20 min flight). I know you will enjoy your trip and it really is scary the first time, I went by myself too and my fiancee met me at the airport exit. I felt like I was in a dream during the hole time of being there with my S/O. It really is a beautiful country.

Enjoy!!! :)
