Things can be trying but don't let the pressures build up. One thing at a time. You don't have to do it all at once. Take a nap, go for a nice long walk, do some window shopping. You will ace the interview. You've prepared and your autopilot will take over. We've all had these pressure situations. Don't multi-task, no task. Forget about the university, it doesn't exist. We are all going to be there with you in spirit at the interview. Focus on how much fun it will be to give two big middle fingers straight up to all the sphincters you've encountered. Focus on that. *BIG BEAR HUG*

Len

That is exactly how I was. I couldn't even think....I was in such a state of panic it was crazy....I put myself in such a miserable mood worrying about things that were out of my control that it was annoying everyone.

I'm sure things will be fine. Don't worry so much. Be calm. (sure, easy for me to say).....but I am doing my AOS now and well............::::::::::::stress::::::::::

You two will be fine. You won't be denied:-). With everything you have on your plate right now no wonder you feel overwhelmed! Something that helped me and may help you is to try and think forward one year - and one year from now everything will be behind you; you will have had your interview, you will have moved to the States, you will be well on your road to your new life in your new home:-) and everything you are concerned about now will be completed:-). Hang in there, it won't be long now, and you will be fine!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

I know you're feeling really overwhelmed right now Len, but remember we're here for you!! BIG HUGGGGGGGGS Glad you came on here to rant. If I could be up there to go to the interview with you, I would. I'm sure you're going to do fine. I know it's hard to believe, but once it's over, and you're moved....gosh, it seems like it was so long ago...honest!

Lenina, you have been here a while now ,and spent most of your time helping others with with your words of wisdom and support. If this was someone else what would you tell them to do. you do know that your fears are unfounded, check the list of people going through and see how many have been denied on that list, I'm sure that you will see that only one couple was and that was Sharon and i and they had a valid reason a bit exagerated reason but still by law a valid one. All I will say is, you should try and be happy right now so you can look at them and simle as they and you interact with each other. the thing that is funny is that once it is over and you walk out you will say god that was so easy, what was I afraid of. I wish you knew what I knew, you would feel so much better. Now that I know what goes on there my next appointment there will be totally relaxed. Just know that you are liked, loved and very much appreciated here, and we will all be very damned happy for you when you come back and post your review telling us that you were worried for nothing at all.

Just one step at a time. Breathe. One box at a time, one papre at a time.

Best advice! I was a nervous wreck until the day of the interview, and i had to take a day off the day before because I hadn't sleep in 2 nights...etc all that because of the "what if"s . What if im denied, what if I don't get the visa on time, what if I leave my job before and it doesnt work, etc....

All that and at the interview...

Officer: "Pretty straightforward case, you'll hear from us soon"

Me: " I am approved?"

Officer:"Yes:

Me:"Alright, have a nice day, thank you" and got out with that look on my face

No trumpets, no fireworks, not even feeling like jumping out. More like thinking to myself why I stressed the hell outta me just for that  So don't think about a denial, just focus on the moving and all :) that month is gonna be over before you notice it and you will be sitting down at home with your husband and laugh at it :)
