But they don't have to be. I think that's what Lisa is saying. And I tend to agree.

It seems to be a solution in search of a problem.

What problem are you trying to solve?

An "anchor baby" can't petition for his parents until he/she turns 21, and

even then it takes another God-knows-how-many years for the parents

to actually get an immigrant visa number.

Do you have a problem with the babies or their parents? It looke like you're

trying to punish the babies for being born in the US to illegal alien parents

rather than the parents. The new law isn't going to affect the parents one bit.

There are no numerical limits on USC parents.

Fine - so let's introduce limits and priority dates for parents of USCs.

Add 10 years to their priority dates if they were here illegally - problem solved.

That's not the problem we're trying to solve.

Stripping babies of citizenship ain't gonna make all them illegals go away.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It'll make birth tourism go away entirely and it will put an end to the aura of entitlement that it creates among the illegal crowd (see the now wannabe Mexican 'peace envoy'). That's a good start in my book. Saves some tax money to boot. Sign me up in support.

I stopped reading at

highlighted the cruelty of U.S. immigration policy

I with you!

It's so preposterous and insulting that I became disgusted. Mexicans want rights to our country that their own country doesn't grant to foreigners. Hello! And yes, I know there are more illegal aliens than just Mexicans. However, I live in California so I see, hear, and talk about them more than any other group of illegal aliens.
