Hi all. Congrats to my fellow VJ'ers who have finally been granted their interview dates!!

We are all nervously scurrying to make sure we are ready. Apart from document worries and "not being able to find the consulate or parking nearby in Montreal" worries .... I have another question. Do they just want to see pictures and phone records and such from K1 Fiance visa applicants or do we married folks have to show proof of our realtionship as well? Were any of you recent K3 interviewees asked for pictures or proof?

A side note... I purchased a blue plastic accordian file to carry my documents. It's not paper...do you think that is a problem for security? Can you bring car keys in with you?

That's the type of folder I had going there , no problem with it at all. As far as the keys I don't know they'll take em when you go through the metal detector anyhow and may give them back on your way out

Montreal requires it I think even for K3s. Does it specify on your checklist? (Vancouver doesn't require it but I still had everything with me)

Thanks for the folder info. I'm a believer in being prepared. My husband is more the "everything will be fine" type. ha.

Hi Misa

I just looked at the checklist that came with Packet 3 and it doesn't specify anything about proof of relationship documents. Only the usual ID documents and certificates and the I134. I'll bring some pictures though. It couldn't hurt.

How has your EAD/AOS journey being going?? Was it very difficult? Do you have any advice on what I should be getting ready NOW to start that process assuming that my K3 visa will be approved pretty soon?

I thought for some reason that Montreal's K3 checklist stated proof of relationship. As I mentioned, Vancouver's K3 doesn't but I brought a STACK of phone bills, flight itineraries, boarding passes, etc. You may want to go through some of the Montreal reviews to see if any K3s were asked but bring the stuff anyway. Always better to be prepared than not! :)

As for EAD and AOS, I had my AOS interview last week (approved!) so now just waiting for my greencard to arrive. :)

I posted my checklist here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;#entry839619

A few things you can do to prep now is:

- 4 US sized passport photos (2 for AOS and 2 for EAD)

- dig out the approved I-130 and photocopy it

- dig out the approved I-129F because your alien registration number is on it

- get your husband to pull out his tax returns, w2s and paystubs (only the latest tax return and w2 is *required* BUT I sent in 3 years along with 6 months of paystubs and letter from his employer)

- make copies of your long form birth certificate, marriage certificate, husband's birth certificate and your passport biographical page

- make a copy of your vaccination worksheet from the panel physician and put all your vaccination records aside (you'll need that to get a vaccination supplement done stateside from a civil surgeon)

After entry you'll have to make copies of your K3 and I-94 to include with your AOS and EAD.

I think that's pretty much all you can do now aside from reviewing the AOS, EAD and I-864 forms. Let me know if you need any help with anything.

COs do look at wedding and reception pictures even if you are an IR.

Also looked at ours [K3] when we did AOS.

You have to keep proving you have a bonafide marriage until you remove conditions!

Scammers have MCs and LDR communication evidence but not many may have wedding and reception pictures.

Your job is to be one step better then the scammers.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

Thanks for the good wishes. And that was great info Misa. I will be so relieved when the interview is behind us but then I'll be diving into the next stage. I hope your green card is in your hand really soon.

One day we'll all look back on this and....... be glad we survived it ha.

Good to hear from you Cutienpurg!
