I sent in my Affadavit of Support forms on 8/11/2007 and found out today that they are sending them back because of a mistake made on it.

Anyways.. I asked the lady what the mistake was and she said that I did not fill out Question 24b for my joint sponsors form.

The question asks to list the income you are using from any other person who was couted in your household size. But the Joint sponsor is not using any income from the people listed on his household size. So that is why I left that part blank in the form that I sent.

So now I'm thinking was this the mistake? Are they sending me back the forms just because I did not write 'none' ?

Can annyone help?

And also can someone tell me if a person has an income of 139,270.00 and has 7 people for household size.. are they a good candidate for a sponsor if the petitioner has no income?

HELP PLZ

THANKS

The only thing I can think of is maybe an inconsistency with question 21h... but it's not easy to answer the question, maybe you can give some more detail once you see the actual RFE.

Sorry about that

Hi Waiting,

I don't know if they would send it back for not entering 'none' for that question, but I suspect they would.

The income of 139,270 is more than adequate for 7 people according to the guidelines.

I don't think you are supposed to write "none" on that form, in my understanding that's one of the few exeptions where you should leave it blank. But this doesn't really help Waiting much

I received my Checklist from the NVC today. Interestingly they noted 2 items on my I-864, one of them is Part 6 - Sponsor's income and employment.

Like you, I left item 24b blank - it's the only field I didn't fill in - methinks they DO want you to put n/a or none in that field.

The checklist states:

----------------

Part 6 Sponsor's Income and Employment

[x] This section is incomplete, please answer all questions completely.

questions is not applicable, please indicate N/A/ in the appropriate space.

----------------

(and yes it reads 'questions' not question :) )
