I think hubster went from about 2 hours a week as a bachelor to about 1/2 an hour a week as a married man. 1/2 hour is about all it takes to take out the trash twice (roughly), and shove HIS clothes in the washing machine and then roll them into a ball for me to fold once they are dry... grrrrrrrrr

Feminism has honestly made a generation of women who feel entitled to all the traditional benefits of being the 'bread winner,' while at the same time scorning traditional homemaking and housework.

If the woman IS a breadwinner, then why shouldn't a woman 'scorn' being automatically stuck with the job of taking care of the home?

Yanno, if I'm sluggin away in the 'bring home the bacon' as much as my partner, the housework isn't automatically my responsibility because I have a uterus...

There's a great book called 'The Second Shift' which documents how women, even those who make more than their husbands, tend to come home from work and start their second job, usually while the guy relaxes or says 'but we split the chores! on Saturdays I mow the lawn' when it's not really equivalent to the daily grind of cleaning. And there's this idea that women are only 'allowed' to work as long as everything is exactly the same at home.

But it's absolutely horse hockey that 'feminism has ruined a generation of women so I had to go overseas to find one' There are American trophy wives. There are American housewives. They may not want to marry you, but that's a separate matter as to whether they exist.

Anyhow, if I'm ruined, so be it. I'm highly educated, I'm the bread winner thanks to immigration's retarded rules, and C. and I split the housework. Except for vacuuming because the noise hurts his ears. He did all the laundry yesterday. Both of us cook, both of us clean, neither of us scorn anything, and neither of us think the uterus has magical power of orange for cleaning.
