AOS application 'touched' today....Biometrics completed yesterday??

My AOS application seems to have been 'touched' today and I just completed my biometrics yesterday. Is this normal, or should I be worried??

04/03/06: AOS Interview notice...05/11/06

04/05/06: Biometrics

05/11/06: AOS Interview....approved, pending FBI name check

05/12/06: I-130 approved

05/18/06: NOA 2 / I-130 approval

08/15/06: Email: 'Welcome to America' letter mailed (Day 151)!!!!

08/17/06: Email: I-485 approved & GC ordered

08/19/06: 'Welcome to America' letter rec'd

08/22/06: Email: Notice of approval mailed

08/25/06: GC Finally Received!!

05/15/08: Apply to remove conditions

Maybe it is just standard to be touched soon after the Biometrics to 'update' your file, but I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait. Thank you!!!

Oh no, things have been going so well so far, that I really hope I don't get an RFE to slow things down. I was just thinking that maybe it was standard for my I-485 to have been touched today, since the biometrics were done yesterday????

It would make sense that it is standard. They have to record completion of biometrics in your AOS file, which is probably why you were touched.

I didn't mean to make you nervous that I got an RFE. I hope you don't - it's a pain in the A**!

Good luck on that! Biometrics updates by 'touching' are pretty normal. The day after my biometrics appointment, all of my applications were updated (I-131, 765, 130, 485) and after the EAD/AP were issued, nothing at all changed. ;)

So it sounds like you're on a normal track. :D Aren't you excited?

26 January 2005 - Entered US as visitor from Canada.
16 May 2005 - Assembled health package, W2s.
27 June 2005 - Sent package off to Chicago lockbox.
28 June 2005 - Package received at Chicago lockbox.
11 July 2005 - RFE: cheques inappropriately placed.
18 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-485, I-131, I-765 received!

Same thing happened to my case:

I had the biometrics done this week Tuesday, and yesterday the AOS file was "touched" as well....so it really seems to be standard procedure.

Hopefully we'll get the appointment letter instead of a RFE :D

AOS timeline:

03/17/06 filed for AOS

03/28-06 touched

04/04/06 biometrics

04/05/06 touched

05/23/06 transfered to CSC

06/17/06 touched

08/16/06 touched

11/20/06 USCIS cust.service started inquiry about case (because it's outside of processing times)

11/30/06 approval e-mail

12/07/06 Greencard in the mail (= 8 months and 21 days for the entire AOS process)

pretty normal ChanelKitten,

Just happened to us yesterday (See at the bottom of my timeline). Had the biometrics done in the morning and both EAD+AOS were touched later in the day.

no need to worry.

2006-04-28 - EAD approval e-mail (whopping 18 days before AOS interview)

2006-05-03 - Received EAD card in mail! - this is getting really really weeeiiirrdd!!!

2006-05-16 - AOS Interview went pretty smooth IMO. Hopefully will see GC soon.

2006-05-16 - Touched (Still no change from original AOS receipt status)

2006-05-19 - Received WELCOME LETTER in mail. (No change in online status)

2006-05-23 - "Approved and Card Ordered" - E-mail received and online status changed.

2006-05-25 - "Approval Letter Sent" - E-mail received and online status changed.

2006-05-26 - Received GREEN CARD in mail.

Thanks everyone, I feel alot better now. I already got my interview letter before I even did my biometrics, so I'm very excited about that. Now I just have to be patient, gather all of my info and wait for my interview on May 11th!!!
