Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to share my excitement with everyone that I found out today that our I129 petition was sent to Lagos on Aug. 22. :dance::dance::dance:

Is it a good idea to call or email Lagos and ask them when they receive the petition!

You can try to call the embassy. Not sure if they will talk to you though. :P

If your SO lives in Lagos, have them go to the embassy (with the DHL tracking number used when the petition was sent from the U.S. to Lagos). I've heard that some people have gone to the embassy with the tracking number AND THE I-129F APPROVAL NUMBER and have been able to get packets 3&4 without having to wait for them to be mailed. Saves lots of time.

But that's just what I hear . . . we haven't gotten to that point yet.

Oh Good congratulations. yea Im very sure with teh I 129 approval letter you can scan it to him and have him go make an inquiry at the Embassy and he will be given an interview date. Not to sure but i think i heard somewhere if you go with the I 129 you may have to adjust the status when he get here using the new fees. Dontlet that discourage you, but i hope for the best in whatever you do. I will continue to pary for VJ members that the Lord will have his way in all our lives. besh wishes and God Bless

Hi and many congratulations to you and your husband. :dance::dance::dance:

It will be a good idea to scan the letter from NVC and the I-129F Approval letter and let your husband take it to the Embassy and from there he will more than likely be given an interview date. Please make sure that they have your information uploaded in their system. If you are not sure, send an e-mail with the Case # in the subject line and they will reply you back in a few days. It worked for me and I hope that it works for you. Keep us posted and God Bless.

Congratulations! Yes, I scanned the I-129 Approval and the NVC Letter and emailed to my fiance. He then went to the embassy with these documents and obtained Packets 3 and 4, which contained the interview date.
