Can someone please tell me when it is the best time to call the NVC to speak to an operator..I have been trying for the past 2 weeks ..everyday .. at different timings throughout the day and I can never get through.. That spanish lady always starts talking and I'm sent back to the automated system.

ITS SO FUSTRATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS VISA PROCESS IS ALREADY SO STRESSFUL AND THEN ON TOP OF THAT I CANT EVEN GET MY QUESTIONS ANSWERED WHEN I WANT! :crying:

We are in same boat.. I Call from India.. and its costing me a bomb.... i dont know what to do .. i cant get it through too they say please call after 6 pm eastern time

Feb 1,2007 - I-130 Reached USCIS.

Feb 4,2007 - I-130 accepted > Get USCIS case Number NOA1.

May 8 ,2007- GET NVC Case Number > NOA2.

June 16 ,2007- Get Order from NVC to pay 70$.

July 2 ,2007- Get DS-3032 in India.

July 7,2007 - DS-3032 choice of address agent entered in NVC.

July 14 ,2007- Get I-864.

July 18 ,2007- I-864 Enters NVC.

July 29 ,2007- Get Order to Pay 380$ fee.

Aug 3 ,2007- 380$ Fee Reached St Louis.

Aug 25,2007 - NVC & St Louis People receive photocopy of my payment with USPS receipt.

After WAITING for 37 days.

Sept 10,2007 - 380$ fee encashed.

Sept 24,2007 - Receive DS-230 in Mail.

Sept 25,2007 - DS-230 despatched.

Sept 26,2007- DS-230 Delivered.

Oct 1,2007 - NVC has DS-230.

Oct 12, 2007 - DS-230 Reviewed. Case Complete

Oct 16, 2007 - Case at Embassy.

Oct 25, 2007- Interview Letter Despatched from Embassy.

Nov 3, 2007 - Recieved Interview Letter.

Dec 1, 2007 - Medical Exam .

I GOT IT

Jan 16 - I am in USA

April 15 2008 - Get my Drivers License.

I-751 Lifting Conditions at California Service Center

November 12, 2009 - I-751 Sent via USPS Express Mail

November 13, 2009 - Receipt of I-1751 Fee

November 20, 2009 - Arrested on Domestic Battery(Had argument with wife)

December 18, 2009 - Biometrics Completed at 9 am.

January 13, 2010 - Receive I-797E Notice for more evidence

February 16, 2010 - Mail reaches Californa Service Center( Next day of Preseidents Day)

February 19, 2010 - Card Production Ordered. Status now IR1

I've never been able to get in touch with an operator past 930AM Eastern time (New York time). The easiest time I've been able to get through to live person is anytime between 730-815AM Eastern Time (people from the west coast are still sound asleep). I was once (out of many many many times) able to get through to a live agent on a Friday around 6-630PM. I think I just got lucky. I would try to call as early as possible since they do open at 730AM. Also, the shortcut once you're on the voice recording is 1 then 5.

I just called and got the spanish message so I hung up quickly and called back. Did this twice more and on the third time I got through. Was put on hold for 5 minutes but it was worth it. First time for me getting through. YAY!

03/01/07 Mailed I-130 priority post to Nebraska.

06/19/07 Approved!!!

07/10/07 NVC assigned case #.

10/25/07 NVC Case Complete!!!!

01/22/08 Original Monreal interview- requested to reschedule, told 3-4 month wait.

04/17/08 Interview in Montreal

04/21/08 Received VISA package

06/24/08 Crossed border

07/26/08 Received conditional greencard

07/28/08 Received SSN in mail (went down and applied in person 07/14/08)

08/11/08 Infopass appointment to request 10yr greencard instead of conditional. Mailed out 1-90 with support.

09/25/08 Received case # for I-90

02/17/09 Received 10yr greencard!!! WOOHOO

Try late in the evening, maybe an hour before midnight. That used to work for me.

I normally call as early as 7:30AM- 8AM EST... I always get my questions answered.

Just keep calling ..even if they say to try back later..

After 3-4 times.. you'll get through.

monday and tuesday are their busiest days it seems like...try calling later part of the week and the best time is to call 30 mins before they are closing..... thats california time 6:30 pm

also continue redialing...and right away press 1 and then 5.. don't wait for their instructions.
