Hello all

Im sorta new to this forum, Ive been reading all those comments and advice for like 2 days and I found them really helpful. My husband is US Citizen, we got married last month in US. We had been engaged for almost a year before we decided to get married. I went to US on my tourist visa when we got married. After we got married, I had to go back to my country because I have to continue working. My husband filed for I-130 last month, on July 27th 2007 and it was accepted on July 30th 2007. He filed it to Texas Service Center. We havent got any news from them since then, can anyone tell us whats the approximate time to have it processed and approved??

I really miss my husband a lot but it seems that its too risky to enter US while the petition is still pending. I still have my tourist visa with me but I dont think it will be easy to get thru the immigration if they know im married to a US citizen and waiting for I-130 to be approved..

I really need your help...thank you very much ...we really really appreciate it..

Hi! You'll be fine!! Don't worry! We sent our paperwork July25th and only yesterday we got our NOA1..the NOAs are taking longer time now then the normal after the fee had increased in July30th.. Did you guys send check or money order? I'm not sure about your case, since it's spouse visa, but I believe that if you sent check you have the reciept number on the back.. do you have the confirmation that they recieve your pettition? I agree with you when you say that's better not to enter the US during the process.. I also have my tourist visa but I think it's better wait... Hard, isnt't it? Keep in touch! :)

I filed on the exact same day as you husband and I am still waiting for an NOA1. Unfortunately, the service centers were flooded with all kinds of petitions. In addition to the K-1 and, CR-1 and K-3 filings, they also received all petitions for all kinds of other visas, etc. When I mailed my package at the post office, the clerk mentioned that they had seen huge amounts of packages being mailed to TSC.

Also, your notification will be delayed while your petition is transferred to either California or Vermont.

I have seen a few members who received their NOA1 from TSC and then were transfered to CSC. I am really not sweating it that much since I sent in my I-129F at the same time instead of waiting for NOA-1. Otherwise, I would be seriously stressed.

Dear Camila,

Thank you for encouraging ...now we still have good chance for that hehe ...Yes, he sent check and yes, we got the confirmation from the post office that they received our petition. Well, some people succeeded entering US while their petitions are still pending....I might do the same thing if this process takes a loong time, well, lest cross our fingers it wont! hehe ...but its just tormenting being away from your husband, isnt it? Anyways, did your husband file it to Texas Service Center too?..thank you Camila ...

Hi! My fiance sent first to California and it was transfered to Vermont.. I believe if we had sent directly to Vermont we wouldn't have such a delay to start the process.. anyway.. God knows the time for everything! :) that's really really not the most confortable situation to be far away from who we love and want to spend the rest of our lives with.. but I'm trying to see the good part of it! :) this situation more than proves a great love, don't you think? It's a difficult time we spend but I believe it'll strengh our love even more!! You're from Colombia, right? I'm from Brazil!! Neighbours, haan?!!! :)
