Have not heard anything back since I-485 is submitted!

We filed our I-485 on August 20th and it was received on August 22nd but still no letter or check cash either. We're glad it got there but the waiting is horrible. You'd think with such a demand they would employ more people to handle this stuff. The immigration process in this country is ridiculously slow. I guess they hope most people just give up.

Hey Guys, it has been 2+ weeks since I last asked the question. Have you guys received NOA from the I-485 applications? I heard they have processed the 15th Aug applications as of last friday! But I havent gotten anything in the mail yet.

We received our NOA1 5 weeks after submission. I can say, even prior to this backlog, regardless of the date listed on the USCIS website - there were fluctuations in the receiving of the NOA in your mail. It has alwasy been like this although more pronounced at this time.

I believe USCIS states they are working on August 15th submissions - give it a few more weeks (as usual) to receive your mail.

We still cannot access the case number online.

yes I agree with you , luvtravlin. So long as they cashed the check I will feel "safe". At least I know my apllication has been taken care of, and not lost or missed out.

Anyone know how accurate the timelines on the USCIS website are? They say that as of sep 7 they have completed receipt processing for apps sent to the chicago lockbox that arrived through Aug 15, but mine arrived aug 15 and we have heard nothing, same deal as others, no check cashed either. anyone received an noa1 whose AOS application arrived aug 10-15?

I can only imagine how difficult and frustrating it would be, not to have this forum to rely on...

We sent our AOS form on Aug. 13 and we haven't heard anything back yet - neither was the check cashed.

I was worrying sick - i tend to do that- but now that I see that more people are going through the same thing I feel a little better.

my wife's AOS package arrived at Chicago August 13,2007.

as of now no NOA1 yet. check not cashed either.

just a follow up on my previous post. few minutes after my other post, when i was about to log off, i checked my bank account online and just found out uscis cashed my check.

so check your banks guys!

My check was cashed on 13 Sept. exactly 1 mth after filing in my I-485 and today (17th Sept) I received my NOA. Thank God. Good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting, I am sure it will come very soon. Don't worry too much!

They are probably still fighting through the filling fee increase rush. At least your check has cleared. good luck

I got my NOA, it is stated I need to wait for my appointment (biometrics) letter to come. Arrghh.... do u guys have both letters around the same time? Or do u have to wait fairly long for the appointment letter. And after this how long does it take for the interview letter to arrive?

I just wan to have an idea to keep me sane. Thanks!
